I decided to change out the theme on my site. Even though I’ve always had a PC at home, classic Mas OS holds a special place in my heart since it’s what my elementary and high school had growing up.

Well, it is getting close to the time Leighton will make is appearance. We still have so much to do but it will be great when he’s here. Scheduled C-section for delivery and two weeks off “work”. Not sure how Lucas will react yet, but it is exciting.
In other news, I have installed RetroPIE on a Raspberry Pi 3, used an Ada Fruit script to move its root volume to a USB SSD so it boots a lot faster than the MicroSD card did (also loads games faster too) and it should be more reliable.
Finally, I managed to get an Up! Plus 3D printer for free. So far so good on using it. I like seeing stuff print and I have plans to make a yarn baller for my wife and a Wind Energy toy for my brother’s kids.

Just got our insurance plans/premiums for next year. They are super expensive but I cannot blame my employer, I definitely blame our government for it.

A long time ago my Ultrabook died. I’ve been using my dad’s laptop for now (as he has a desktop and I no longer do). I am saving for a nice shiny new Gigabyte P55Wv6-PC3D so if you could order stuff though my support us page I would appreciate it. Well, baby 2.0m has been a hard pregnancy for the wife. She got diagnosed with gestational diabetes much earlier than she did with baby 1.0m. She has had additional complications due to this and the latest of which is she cannot drive until he is here. Means she is fully dependent on others to help her run errands. I know this is really hard on her so I hate it.

It has been a while since my last update. Been busy with life. Wife and I are expecting another baby December 27th. Found out not to long ago that it will be a boy and his name will be Leighton Thomas McCloud. Can’t tell if Lucas is excited or not yet, only time will tell. I do know the wife and I are planning on getting a hotel the night before delivery (scheduled C-section) so we don’t have to get up quite as early in the morning (as of right now, she has to be there at 7am which means we have to leave no later than 6am and get up no later than 5am)……. Soon we will have to have Lucas do his first overnight away from us, this will be hard for both my wife and I. Although it will be harder for her since she has yet to spend a night away from him while I have.

Amazon Prime Day is coming July 12th. If you do not have Prime, it is a great time to sign up. My wife and I have it and in addition to the free 2 day shipping, we stream a lot of video and our son loves his Free Time 🙂

Well,
I have decided to do some Android development for the fun of it again. So far its going well, even have Jenkins setup to build automagically for me (just because I can). Working on a project for my wife and so far its turning out very well, couple more things I need to worry about doing but I think she will be happy with the end result.

Wife and I did our taxes last weekend. Really like how much we are getting back. My dad also had a HP Envy Touch Slimbook that he gave me, needed a new HDD. So I put my 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD in it. Won’t run much for games, but it is a much nicer laptop than the Lenovo I was using (i5 vs i3, weighs less, etc). No DVD drive in it, but I can survive without that for a while. Eventually, one will be on sale at Amazon and I’ll pick it up. I’d get a BluRay burner, but they still cost an arm and a leg, maybe a reader though.
