Went to a grad party and my sister-in-law’s birthday party this weekend.  Had a great time.  Was also nice that my wife and I could go for a motorcycle ride on Saturday and ride to the b-day party on Sunday.  Couldn’t until she finally got out of the air cast.  She was extremely excited to be able to go for a ride since its been months since she’s been on a motorcycle.  I was happy since I could finally ride some place other than just to work (I didn’t ride for fun since it wasn’t any fun without her).

Well, after the cable guy was at our place last night we have much more stable Internet.  Got a new cable modem and he also replaced a bunch of the wiring in the walls due to poor quality connectors & splitters.  Rather happy to get rid of the SMC modem and have a Cisco in its place, as well as quality splitters & such.

I can currently get online for around 5 minutes at a time after I reset my cable modem.  Doesn’t matter if I am using a router or connected directly to a computer.  End result for both is the same, shitty Internet that is hardly usable.

Well,

Somehow last night I ended up with no Internet even though my cable modem showed a connection.  Ended up power cycling the modem around 6 times, same with my router.  Ended up having to perform a factory reset of the router to get it working, still don’t have my home server up and running but at least I got a start.

really, rain all damn week?  guess there isn’t much reason to lash the valves on my bike then.

Why is it that last year when I didn’t have super easy access to my motorcycle it didn’t rain all that much.  However this year when all I have to do is walk downstairs, open the garage door & ride its raining a lot more.  Is it some sort of cruel joke?  I mean, come on.  It gets much better mileage so I’d like to ride it to work much more than I have been able to so far.
